About the firm
Serving the English-speaking community of Rosarito.
Rosarito Legal is a Mexican law firm focused on property and business matters for expats, investors, and foreign-owned businesses in Baja California.
Who we represent
Our clients are foreigners who live, invest, or do business in Baja California. They come to us because Mexican legal matters are conducted in Spanish, and they want a lawyer who can read the document, argue it in court, and explain it to them in English.
What we focus on — and what we don't
We concentrate on three practice areas where foreigners in Rosarito most often need real representation:
- Real estate disputes — title defects, fideicomiso problems, failed closings, broker misconduct, HOA conflicts.
- Business formation — Mexican corporations and LLCs, investor registrations, tax setup, corporate books.
- Business disputes — partnership fallouts, contract breaches, collections, vendor and employment claims.
We also handle business immigration — but only for the owners and key employees of our business clients. We do not handle wills, retirement or FM3 visas, or general immigration. If that's what you need, we'll point you to a colleague.
Why an English-speaking Mexican firm matters
A translator isn't a lawyer. A U.S. or Canadian attorney can't appear in a Mexican court. What expats in Baja California need is a licensed Mexican attorney who speaks English fluently — someone who can file the brief, argue the motion, and then pick up the phone and tell you what just happened in a sentence you understand.
